I just found this great video by Vertaisium, a science vlogger, about the history of–and scientific research findings on–Technology in Education. I think it is a brilliant summation of the findings of our best cognitive scientists and education researchers on technology in the education process. Technology is an amazing tool but it will never be a substitute for great teachers or strong learning environments. As Aristotle elegantly observed humans are intrinsically political animals, and hence our learning culture matters far mores than our shiniest tools. (although I do love them… 🙂
